By accessing, browsing, registering for an account, or signing in via Google Single Sign-On (OAuth 2.0), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our accompanying Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must refrain from registering or using the platform.
2 User Eligibility & Account Registration
Access to Nexus is strictly authorized for currently enrolled students, appointed faculty advisers, capstone coordinators, defense committee panelists, and authorized academic administrators of DFCAMCLP.
- Accurate Credentials: You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and verifiable information during registration, including your official institutional Student/Faculty ID and academic email address.
- Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. Any activity performed under your authenticated session is your responsibility. In case of suspected unauthorized access, notify the system administrator immediately.
- Role Integrity: Users must register under their legitimate academic capacity (Student or Faculty Adviser). Falsifying identity or impersonating faculty members will result in immediate disciplinary and administrative action.

- Prohibition of Plagiarism: Intellectual theft, fabrication of survey/testing datasets, misattribution, or unauthorized copying of third-party software code without proper licensing or citation is strictly prohibited.
- Use of AI Tools: Any assistive AI technologies used during document review, grammar checking, or development must comply with current DFCAMCLP departmental guidelines and be properly disclosed in project methodology.
4 Intellectual Property & Licensing
Student Authorship: Student researchers retain moral ownership and primary intellectual property rights over their original capstone prototypes, software code, and research papers, subject to institutional policies.
Institutional Academic License: By submitting materials via Nexus, students grant DFCAMCLP a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to store, archive, index, format, and display the deliverables within the institutional research repository for educational, defense review, accreditation, and non-commercial academic evaluation purposes.
5 Third-Party Integrations & Google Authentication
Nexus enables Google OAuth 2.0 Single Sign-On to facilitate convenient, verified authentication. By choosing to sign in with Google, you authorize Nexus to access basic profile scopes (openid, email, profile).
Our usage of Google APIs strictly complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Your Google credentials (passwords) are never accessed or stored by our servers.
